Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actress as a young person just after moving to the United States. In AT&T television commercials she played the role of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and until 2020. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was an actor in the series on the Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and played a part in a recurring role on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). After being cast in the TV pilot unaired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also is the voice of Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and her fled antisemitism when she was two years old. They emigrated to the U.S. with their children. When she was five she started appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was partly due to difficulties in the family's finances. Vayntrub was a student at Beverly Hills High School briefly and then quit after her second year. She later obtained the GED and earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. With the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied the art of improv comedy.
