Courtney Thorne Smith Bio

Courtney Thorne-Smith (born on the 8th of November in 1967) is an American actress. Her credits include Alison Parker in Melrose Place, Georgia Thomas in Ally McBeal, Cheryl In According to Jim and Lyndsey McElroy's recurring role on Two and a Half Men. Thorne Smith was born in Menlo Park in the south of San Francisco. Walter Smith was her father and Lora Thorne was her mother. Both were computer market researchers. Courtney was seven when her parents divorced. Courtney lived with both parents at different times. Jennifer is her older sister, is an advertising executive. She attended the Menlo-Atherton High school located situated in Atherton, California, and graduated from Tamalpais High School, in Mill Valley, California, in the year 1985. While in the high school, she also took part in performances with the Ensemble Theater Company in Mill Valley. Thorne-Smith made her first film appearance in the 1986 feature film drama Lucas as well as Winona Ryder Corey Haim, and Charlie Sheen. In the mid-80s, she was also in a number of films which included Welcome to 18 (1986), Revenge of the Nerds II (Nerds in Paradise) (1987), Summer School (1987) and Side Out(90). In 1998, she was an actress in the box office flop Chairman Of The Board along with Carrot Top. In 2009 she was the lead in Sorority Wars. Thorne Smith has dated Andrew Shue in the 1990s. He was her screen love from Melrose Place. The actress wed geneticist Andrew Conrad in June 2000. The couple divorced in 2001. Roger Fishman (president of Zizo Group Zizo Group, a marketing company) and author of What I Know was her wedding date. She gave birth to Jacob Emerson Fishman on January 11, 2008, at 40.
