Abigail Marie Clancy Bio

Abigail Marie Clancy was born on the 10th of January, 1986. She is an English television model and personality. In 2006, she finished second in the British Next Top Model cycle 2. She also took home series 11 and 12 of Strictly Come Dancing 2013. In 2015, she has been Britain's Next Top Model. Clancy was born in Liverpool. She is the second oldest one of her four siblings, Karen (nee Sullivan), Geoffrey Thomas Clancy. She was born in Woolton in a suburb close to Liverpool. She was a student at St Mary's Catholic Primary School as well as St Julie's Catholic High. Clancy founded the girl band Genie Queen with Andy McCluskey of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark. Clancy was named as one the thirteen finalists of Living TV's Britain's Next Top Model in summer 2006. He competed for a modelling contract for 10 weeks. Clancy, along alongside fellow contestant Lianna Foller was selected to appear on the finale runway show. Clancy eventually became the runner up. Clancy appeared in a 2010 campaign for Umbro sportswear, wearing the England shirt. She was also photographed with other footballer's wives and girlfriends from nations who won the World Cup. Clancy walked in the Giles Deacon Ready-To-Wear collection Giles Spring 2011 collection.In March 2011 Clancy was featured on the Elite Model Management: New York division's website. She was part of London designer Hasan Hejazi’s campaign in July 2013. The editorial was created by Absynth Photographyic. The fashion film was by Gabriel Gettman. Clancy also modeled in the August issue of UK Esquire cover shot by Solve Sundsbo. In December 2013 Clancy was featured in LOVE magazine's Advent Calendar alongside Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne. Clancy was featured on British Marie Claire's July 2014 cover and British Elle's March cover. Abbey Clancy and Sophia Crouch Their daughter, Sophia Crouch, worked together to launch Lipsy's AW'19 collection. The collection officially launched in the UAE in January 2020.
